Having dealt with clients who have fibromyalgia, I thought this was a great article. I am glad there is research being done to help these people. It reasured me that Pilates is also a great form of pain relief for them because we do similar moves, and many participates do both yoga and Pilates. I try to attend yoga classes when I’m not teaching, even more so since my car accident. It helps my sore muslces relax and stretch, plus I feel great that I can actually do some sort of physical activity. This article should encourage those who do have fibromyalgia to try gentle forms of exercise and also encourage people who practice yoga or pilates to try the other because they are quiet different but both are great for the body!
