Day 13
After a night in a bed and not waking up freezing cold I felt quiet refreshed despite the short amount of sleep I actually got. We walked over for continental breakfast, which consisted of muffins, bananas and coffee. The muffins were the style from Costco – LOL Yum – Solly didn’t agree, he doesn’t like having “cupcakes” for breakfast. Oh, and there was “orange juice”, which was actually Sunny D, I felt like I was having breakfast from 15 years ago, I loved it! Oh Sunny D, how I forgot about you.
Clouds in the mountains are very visibleWhen we returned to our room, we took our time getting ready. We also took advantage of the wifi so that we could update our Facebook and check our emails etc. We also checked out the photos from Solly’s film camera, which turned out quite well.
Sample of Solly’s photos – Lake Louise turned out white in the photo- Lake Louise

Once I was all showered and was done using the computer, I took advantage of the space and rolled out my aches and pains. Did some thoracic extensions, rolled out my hip flexors and lats. Felt so good, now all I need is a good stretch, might as well add in some PNF/Active Inhibition before I get into the car.
We only had about an hour and half drive to Vancouver, we stopped for lunch in Surrey before finally arriving. Once we got to Vancouver we explored China town because we were told that it was one of the best, but it was not what we expected at all. But after talking with people we were told that the place to go would be Richmond if we wanted to visit Chinatown. Since we didn’t find anything interesting we went and sat by the harbor for a while.
Then we drove downtown and explored Gastown, which had a bunch of gift shops and restaurants. We were getting pretty tired and Iain had arrived home from work so we headed over to his house.
Upon arrival, we sat around and caught up since it had been a while since we saw each other. Plus, we were waiting for Sonia, Iain’s girlfriend to come home from work.
We went out for dinner at Wings, which obviously we had wings for dinner. I have a secret love for chicken wings, which grosses a lot of people out, I try not to eat them too often. During dinner, we heard from Sam. So we made arrangements for all of us to meet Sam and go for drinks. We went to Steam Works, which is a local brewery. We were there for several hours as we all chatted and caught up. After drinks we went home since it had been another long day of exploring.
