The reason I posted this video is because I designed a class called cardio pilates.  The concept of cardio pilates is bootcamp style format but with mainly body resistance and it focuses on core muscles.  The reason I developed this class was to add the cardio aspect to pilates because many participants were lacking this aspect of their workouts and needed to raise their heart rates to see more results, espeically if they were looking to lose weight.  This class is not as drastic as a bootcamp, therefore great for beginners who are seeking this type of workout.  Due to the focus on core strength, these lateral movements and changes of directions causes the participates to engage their abdominals without realizing.  All my choices of exercises in this class must include abdominal engagement in some shape or form.  This is why I have added this video.  In cardio pilates, the particpates perform at their own pace and focus on controlling the movement and muscle engagement during the exercises.  I espeically like the skates and running in a figure 8 pattern.
